John R. Blasi concentrates his practice in corporate and business law, tax, estate planning, and elder law. In the course of providing legal services to clients, he often assists them in defining, planning, and meeting their personal and business needs in areas including individual and corporate tax planning, business transactions, estate planning and probate administration, and employee benefits. In addition, he provides legal representation to charitable nonprofit corporations, including private foundations and hospitals.
Prior to joining Lindabury, John was employed by the Internal Revenue Service in Washington, D.C., as a Tax Law Specialist. In addition to his law degree, he holds a Masters of Law degree in Taxation from Georgetown University.
John served as President of the firm from 2005 to 2017 and as a member of the Firm's Executive Committee until 2017. John is a former Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Children's Specialized Hospital and the Children's Specialized Hospital Foundation in Mountainside, New Jersey and is currently a member of the Board of Trustees of the Elizabethtown Foundation and The John F. Byrne Foundation, Inc.
Community organization of which John has served as President include the Westfield New Jersey Rotary Club; the Westfield New Jersey Chapter of the American Red Cross; Summit New Jersey Police Athletic League; and the Crestview Tennis and Swim Club in New Providence, New Jersey.
John regularly lectures before various professional and civic associations on topics relating to taxation; business planning; wills; and trusts and estate planning and has also participated in teaching Business Law at the college level.
