Joshua Weiner is a Partner and Chair of the firm's Labor & Employment practice group.
With years of experience in developing effective employment policies and procedures, Josh takes a proactive approach to employment law compliance, focusing on risk mitigation and liability reduction for businesses of all sizes. Josh has represented both employers and employees dealing with claims of discrimination, harassment, whistleblower retaliation, wage and hour disputes, defamation, and invasion of privacy, as well as corporate disputes over executive compensation, employment contracts, and restrictive covenants such as non-compete clauses, non-disclosures, and confidentiality agreements. He also has represented employers and management in various labor disputes, unfair labor practice charges, arbitrations, and negotiations with unions.
In his role as employment and labor law counsel, Josh serves employers in a wide variety of industries, providing counseling and training on issues including discrimination, whistleblower retaliation, sexual harassment, wage and hour audits, employee handbooks, personnel policies, employment contracts, restrictive covenants, hiring and termination practices, and union relations.
Josh has represented clients before courts and administrative agencies, bringing his experience to litigated matters, administrative and arbitration proceedings, employment law audits and labor disputes. Before joining Lindabury, McCormick, Estabrook, & Cooper, P.C., Josh was a Partner and Chair of the Employment and Labor Law practice group and the Litigation Division at Coughlin Midlige & Garland. He also practiced at the Law Offices of Weiner and Weiner, an employment and labor law firm co-owned with his father, Paul Weiner.
